The problem
This large gray sectional belongs to a family with a dog in Northgate, Seattle. It was not a rescue job: the owners booked a maintenance cleaning to get out the dirt that builds up deep in the fabric before it starts to show.
What we did
- Pre-treated the whole sectional with a pH 8 (mildly alkaline) cleaning solution. It loosens the dirt inside the cushions and brings it up to the surface.
- Extracted that dirt with our extraction machine.
- Rinsed the fabric with a fabric rinse to neutralize the cleaning solution, so no residue is left behind.
The job took about two hours. The price was $225.
The result
The sectional looked fairly clean before we started, but the bucket shows what came out of it. That is the point of a maintenance cleaning when you have a dog. The lines you see on the seats in the after photos come from the cleaning tool and even out as the fabric dries.
